Catalog description

Introduces the history of the safety movement under the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. Covers selected topics and standards for general industry under OSHA. Note: OSHA 30 certificate may be available upon successful completion of all required course topics (must be within six months of completing SFA 1051 and coordinated with instructor.) Lecture: 1.33 credits (20 contact hours).
