Beginning Japanese II ((4 credit hours))

Catalog description

Designed to further develop skills in speaking, writing, listening and reading with particular emphasis on conversation. Emphasizes improved comprehension and fluency and the ability to narrate events with an expanded Japanese vocabulary and use of more complex grammatical structures. Continues to introduce the rich culture of Japan with the goal of further developing students' intercultural knowledge and understanding. Represents the second course in a two-semester sequence designed to introduce students to Japanese. Intended for students with one semester of college Japanese or one to two years of high school Japanese. Lecture: 4 credits (60 contact hours)
