Catalog description

Introduces basic electrical troubleshooting concepts pertinent to the electrical technology industry. Provides an in-depth study of electrical troubleshooting using schematics, wiring diagrams, digital multi-meters, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and motor analyzers. Provides preparation on how to troubleshoot common electrical faults using a multi-meter. Focuses primarily on an overview of common electrical faults and how to pinpoint them using a PLC. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours). Laboratory: 2 credits (60 contact hours).
