Catalog description
Provides students with the knowledge to design and install multimedia applications for residential structures and gain an understanding of industry-standards practices, codes, and ordinances that pertain to high-performance in-home systems. Introduces students to voice, data, security, video, audio, automation, control and entertainment systems, cable performance characteristics, and appropriate cabling media, connectors, blocks, jacks, panel, pathways and spaces. Prerequisite(s): EET 110 with a minimum grade of "C" or consent of Electrical Technology Program Coordinator. Lecture: 1 credits (15 contact hours); Laboratory: 2 credits (60 contact hours).
