Introduces basic die making theory. Includes die sets, punch presses, blanking dies, piercing dies, screw and dowel holes, punch and punch blocks, die life, bending dies, pilots, die block construction, stock strippers, stock guides, progressive dies, stock strips and secondary operations of notch, trim, and shave. Lecture: 3.0 credits (45 contact hours).
