Catalog description
Introduces the fundamentals of post-award grant management with a focus on compliance, accountability, and stewardship of funded projects. Examines key grant compliance requirements, including federal regulations, funder rules, and award conditions that guide funded activities. Develops practical skills in tracking and reporting programmatic and fiscal activities, maintaining accurate records, and managing multiple grants. Identifies roles and responsibilities of project, administrative, and financial personnel and how post-award processes such as payments, reporting, and amendments are managed. Emphasizes effective communication, accountability, and funder acknowledgment practices that support compliance and long-term funding relationships. Prerequisite(s): BAS 140 and 142 or consent of instructor. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours).
