This course prepares students for college-level reading and composition. It focuses on strengthening reading, critical thinking, and writing skills through practice that progressively becomes more sophisticated. Reading instruction focuses on building vocabulary, improving reading comprehension, and analyzing and synthesizing ideas from academic texts.
