Catalog description

The Transplant Medicine Sub-I offers medical students a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in organ transplantation. This rotation emphasizes the evaluation, management, and long-term care of transplant recipients, as well as the challenges of organ allocation and transplant ethics. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and observe various procedures related to transplant medicine. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective care for patients undergoing transplantation.
