Catalog description

The Radiation Oncology elective provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, techniques, and clinical practices involved in the treatment of cancer using radiation therapy. This rotation emphasizes the scientific basis of radiation oncology, patient management, treatment planning, and the multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in treatment planning sessions, and observe radiation therapy procedures. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and collaboration with various healthcare professionals, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective oncological care.
