Catalog description
The Interventional Radiology Sub-I provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of interventional radiology (IR). This rotation emphasizes the use of imaging techniques to guide minimally invasive procedures for diagnosis and treatment. Students will gain hands-on experience in various IR procedures, such as catheter placements, biopsies, and ablative therapies, while learning about the integration of imaging modalities such as ultrasound, CT, and fluoroscopy. Through direct patient interaction, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective care in the field of interventional radiology.
