Catalog description

This Sub-I in Addiction Medicine provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of substance use disorders and their management. Through a combination of clinical experiences, didactic sessions, and hands-on learning, students will gain insights into the biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors influencing addiction. The rotation emphasizes evidence-based practices in assessment, treatment, and prevention of substance use disorders, as well as the development of skills necessary for effective patient communication and interprofessional collaboration. Students will engage with a diverse patient population and participate in multidisciplinary teams to enhance their clinical competence in addiction medicine.
