Catalog description

The Psychiatry 4th year sub-internship provides students with an opportunity to broaden their professional education by providing direct patient care, with internship-like responsibilities. The rotation will focus on diagnosis, treatment, and medical management of patients with various psychiatric disorders. Students will be under the guidance of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other behavioral health professionals. Students will be exposed to adolescent and adult psychiatric problems including but not limited to depression, schizophrenia, addiction, and other illnesses.
