Catalog description

The Pediatric Wound Care Sub-I provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the assessment, management, and treatment of wounds in infants, children, and adolescents. This rotation emphasizes the unique considerations in pediatric wound care, including healing processes, wound types, and pediatric-specific challenges. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in wound assessments, and observe various wound care procedures in a pediatric setting. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective wound care for pediatric patients.
