Catalog description

The Pediatric Rheumatology Sub-I provides medical students with an in-depth understanding of the diagnosis and management of rheumatologic disorders in children and adolescents. This rotation emphasizes the unique presentations of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in the pediatric population, including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, and other connective tissue diseases. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in clinical evaluations, and observe diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a pediatric rheumatology setting. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective rheumatologic care to pediatric patients.
