Catalog description

The Pediatric Radiology elective provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of imaging techniques and their applications in diagnosing and managing conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. This rotation emphasizes the unique considerations in pediatric imaging, including radiation safety, age-specific protocols, and the interpretation of radiological findings. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in imaging studies, and observe diagnostic procedures in a pediatric radiology setting. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective radiological care to pediatric patients.
