Catalog description

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Sub-I provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of the diagnosis and management of blood disorders and cancers in infants, children, and adolescents. This rotation emphasizes the unique aspects of hematological and oncological conditions in the pediatric population, including their presentations, treatment protocols, and the impact on patients and families. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in clinical evaluations, and observe diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a pediatric hematology/oncology setting. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective care to pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
