Catalog description

The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Sub-I provides medical students with an in-depth understanding of the diagnosis and management of acute illnesses and injuries in infants, children, and adolescents. This rotation emphasizes the unique considerations in pediatric emergency care, including assessment, treatment protocols, and the use of advanced diagnostic tools. Students will engage in direct patient care in a Pediatric Emergency Department (PED), participate in critical decision-making, and observe emergency procedures. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective emergency care to pediatric patients.
