Catalog description

The Pediatric Dermatology elective provides medical students with a comprehensive understanding of dermatological conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. This rotation emphasizes the unique presentations of skin disorders in the pediatric population, including congenital conditions, infectious diseases, and inflammatory disorders. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in clinical evaluations, and observe diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a pediatric dermatology setting. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective dermatological care to pediatric patients.
