Catalog description

The Neonatology Sub-I offers medical students a comprehensive understanding of the care and management of newborns, particularly those who are ill or require specialized medical attention. This rotation emphasizes the principles of neonatal physiology, the diagnosis and treatment of common neonatal conditions, and the management of premature and high-risk infants. Students will engage in direct patient care, participate in rounds, and observe procedures in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide high-quality care for newborns and support their families.
