Catalog description

The Forensic Pathology elective clerkship provides medical students with a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of medicine and law through the lens of forensic pathology. This rotation emphasizes the role of pathologists in determining the cause and manner of death in cases involving sudden, unexplained, or suspicious circumstances. Students will engage in hands-on experiences with autopsy procedures, witness the investigation of crime scenes, and learn about the legal implications of forensic findings. Through case studies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and exposure to forensic investigations, students will develop a thorough understanding of the principles and practices that underpin forensic pathology.
