Catalog description

The Anatomic Pathology elective offers medical students an in-depth experience in the study and interpretation of pathological specimens. This rotation focuses on the diagnosis of disease through the examination of tissue samples, including histopathology, cytopathology, and autopsy pathology. Students will engage in clinical discussions, participate in gross and microscopic examinations, and learn to integrate laboratory findings with clinical data to formulate diagnostic conclusions. Emphasizing a collaborative approach, students will work closely with pathologists and other healthcare professionals, gaining insights into the critical role of pathology in patient care, disease prevention, and management.
