Catalog description

The General Obstetrics elective provides medical students with a comprehensive overview of obstetric care, emphasizing the management of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. This rotation focuses on the clinical skills and knowledge necessary for the safe and effective care of pregnant individuals and their newborns. Students will engage in hands-on experiences, participate in the delivery process, and learn about the various complications that can arise during pregnancy and childbirth. Through direct patient interactions, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will gain the skills needed to provide high-quality obstetric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
