Catalog description

The Renal System course provides a foundational overview of the kidney and urinary organs. The course integrates anatomy, embryology, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and pathology, with a focus on common diseases and conditions. Students will examine the differences between health and disease, symptoms, and causative or diagnostic schema, to prepare themselves to apply this understanding to make informed decisions about the diagnosis and treatment of common or life-threatening disorders of the renal system and their systemic complications.
