Internal Medicine - Outpatient

Catalog description

Outpatient elective provides fourth-year medical students with an in-depth, patient-centered experience in the ambulatory care setting. Students will work closely with attending physicians and other members of the healthcare team to evaluate and manage adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Emphasis is placed on developing strong clinical reasoning, preventive care strategies, chronic disease management, and effective patient communication.
