Catalog description

The Travel Medicine elective offers medical students a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in providing healthcare for travelers. This rotation emphasizes pre-travel assessment, the prevention and management of travel-related illnesses, and the unique health challenges faced by travelers in various global regions. Students will engage in patient consultations, participate in educational outreach, and observe various preventive measures and interventions. Through hands-on experiences, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration, students will develop the skills necessary to provide effective travel health advice and care.
