Catalog description

This course focuses on preparing students for internship, including how to find and select sites, how to write effective and enticing internship applications, how to prepare for interviews, and how to behave on Match Day. The course also focuses on how to assess students’ readiness for internship and build a plan for success while on internship. Additional topics will include more nuanced activities including, but not limited to, securing strong letters of recommendation, ranking sites, and discussing common reasons why students do not match. This class will include lecture; however, the focus is on in-class activities to complete the steps and tasks above.
