LGBTQIA Health Psychology in Older Adults

Catalog description

Students will review the major historical events of psychology and sexual orientation. Issues specific to the development of LGBTQIA older adult individuals will be covered as well as how to take these issues into consideration when developing case conceptualizations and treatment plans specifically for older adults. Further, students will demonstrate an understanding of how social and cultural factors influence the development of sexual orientation for an older adult population.
