POCUS 100 is the basic course in point of care ultrasound (POCUS) elective series. Through course participation, students will gain an understanding of the clinical importance, advantages, limitations, indications and contraindications of POCUS. Students will begin to acquire the basic knowledge and skills needed to safely perform and utilize POCUS to identifying anatomical structures, artifacts, and pathology routinely seen in the performance of point-of-care ultrasound.
