Catalog description

This course introduces principles of research design in a global setting, including how to synthesize a hypothesis and how to support that with a research protocol. Also covered are all aspects of the IRB submission and approval process. CITI training modules are completed as part of the research approval process. Principles of epidemiology and local public health issues applied globally are introduced. A hands on session will have learners demonstrate achieving hemostasis in a resource limited region. Students will formulate a research project and create an IRB application.
