Catalog description

This course the principles of providing pre and post travel counseling to patients and their families, using cases of travelers. Learners will use online evidence based resources to develop counseling for sample travelers as well as address post travel illness. Students will also formulate challenges to helping prevent and treat burns in a resource limited region. As research ideas are introduced, students will complete online CITI training as part of the IRB application process. The use of medical interpreters will be reviewed.
