Catalog description

This course introduces principles of global health, the burden of disease in developing countries, comparison of health systems, and global ethics. Students will review the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and check progress of certain countries towards that goal. Students will also complete a course on the Yellow Fever Vaccine, which provides comprehensive and up-to-date information on the history and epidemiology of yellow fever, vaccine recommendations, the pre-travel consultation, and how providers become a designated yellow fever vaccination provider.
