Catalog description

The Clinical Dentistry III course is the third in the Clinical Dentistry series designed to prepare the student for the clinical skills needed in patient care. Taught primarily in the dental simulation clinic, yet with an emphasis on mirroring a true clinic setting, this course will focus on current clinical practices and emphasize the advancements of pediatric principles and procedures. This course will also integrate, whenever possible, the information concurrent in the Biomedical/Clinical sciences, Foundations of Patient Care and Dental Sciences course material to support the relevance of this information in providing optimal patient care. Along with the specific clinical skills training and practice, treatment planning, diagnostic techniques, preventive procedures and dental materials will be fundamental throughout all Clinical Dentistry courses.
