Catalog description

This course covers biomedical informatics, evidence literacy, and evidence-based practice. This course is designed to develop skills in locating and interpreting the primary biomedical literature, searching basic science and clinical resources, identifying evidence-based information, forming and assessing evidence for clinical questions, critically appraising the literature, and evaluating and applying levels of evidence in clinical decision-making. Course objectives are assessed through lectures, individual and group projects, presentations, quizzes and a midterm and final examination.
