This course emphasizes adversity and resilience for the individual. With special attention to trauma informed care, topics will include the mental health needs of the homeless population, adverse childhood experiences, domestic violence, human trafficking, disaster trauma, the special needs of the refugee population, and living with family members with psychiatric problems.
