Catalog description

The course will introduce the student to the world of manufacturing on Earth and in space. The course content includes the history of manufacturing in space, manufacturing spacecraft on Earth (spacecraft, telescopes, satellites, rovers, etc.), manufacturing standards, additive manufacturing, manufacturing construction in space, materials science aboard the International Space Station, challenges of manufacturing in space, circular economics and sustainability and planetary mining, materials and manufacturing.
