Catalog description

The course will introduce students to space mission modeling, simulation and control with an emphasis on space missions supporting civil and commercial operations. Topics include orbital mechanics, communications, space environment, spacecraft technology, civil/commercial space systems, model-based systems engineering concepts applied to physical systems, agent-based modeling and discrete event simulation of space systems. Systems dynamics modeling will be applied to physical space systems operating in various microgravity environments.
