Catalog description

Introduction to the methods and theories used to study American foreign policy. Students will develop an understanding of the historical development of American foreign policy, the actors and institutions responsible for making foreign policy, and the study of a range of more specific foreign policy topics, including the use of military force, security cooperation, military alliances, trade, monetary policy, human rights, and foreign aid.
