Catalog description
Introduces ethical theories, concepts and methods, e.g. utility, rights and perfect obligations in deontic and consequentialist theories, and applies them to ethical issues in social media, e.g. privacy, bullying, hate speech, doxing, bots and preferences in dating apps. Students learn to evaluate and apply competing ethical systems, and to defend the resulting analysis in written form.
