Catalog description

Indoor Vertical Farming Systems is a lecture-based course focused on all aspects of indoor food crop production in environments with no natural sunlight such as in plant factories. Topics include lighting and HVAC design; managing humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide; energy efficiency; product logistics and food safety; and operation profitability. The application of indoor farming systems is beneficial where land and water resources are limited, such as in urban areas.
