This course is designed to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
