Catalog description

Introduction to conceptual, analytical, and numerical groundwater models. Guides students in developing and applying these approaches to real-world problems. Students will learn to formulate mathematical representations of flow and transport, understand best practices in groundwater modeling, and use industry-standard software such as MODFLOW and MT3D. Students will gain the skills to select appropriate modeling tools, construct models to analyze groundwater processes, and critically evaluate existing studies.
