Evaluation and Management of General Medical Conditions in Athletic Training II

Catalog description

This is the second in a series of three courses designed to meet outcomes and guidelines related to the prevention, evaluation, and management of medical conditions/disabilities as they relate to athletic training practice. Students will obtain knowledge, skill, and clinical decision-making to accurately assess and recognize general medical conditions, make appropriate referrals, and work as part of a healthcare team to implement plans for safe participation in physical activity and sport. Instruction will consist of lectures, labs, problem/case-based learning, and small group collaboration.
