This course offers the foundational understandings of data in education. The course introduces contemporary concepts of data, big data, and the emerging concept as well as field of study--educational data.The course covers uses of data to inform decisions and actions with an emphasis on educational data and the practice of ethically leveraging data to benefit the broad set of stakeholders, promoting learning environments for all students.
