Catalog description

Focuses on the fundamentals of contextually and linguistically relevant practices for today's pluralistic classrooms. Special emphasis is placed on ways to navigate and create student-informed ecologies of learning and provide meaningful core instruction and the needed accommodations for diverse learners within PreK-12 settings. Through a critical lens, students will examine the historical and contemporary efforts and approaches for meaningful change, societal interactions, acculturation vs. social differentiation, pluralistic perspectives and initiatives, and the importance of transformative practices within our schools and society.
