Field Study: Vision, Planning and Resources

Catalog description

Students will identify and analyze financial issues being faced by community colleges throughout the United States. Students will explore methods to analyze and develop viable financial solutions to address the identified issues. The legacy mission of community colleges has grown in tandem with expectations. Yet public funding of most community colleges has decreased, is less predictable, and has not kept pace with enrollment growth. These pressures compel fresh thinking about mission, priorities, resource generation, and cost containment.
