Catalog description

This course will cover concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology: material continuum; fundamental properties of nanomaterials; nanomaterials (nanoparticles, nanocarbons,hybrid nanomaterials, nanocomposites, semiconductor quantum wells, nanowires, and quantum dots); fabrication and characterization methods; selected applications of nanomaterials such as energy storage, thermal management, sensing, electronic devices, composites, energy harvesting (photovoltaics), environmental remediation, medicine, and heterogeneous catalysis.
