The course introduces advanced aspects of the analysis and design of reinforced concrete beams and columns (3 weeks), it then covers the mechanical properties of FRP composites used in CE applications (2 weeks), it then covers the flexural strengthening analysis and design of reinforced concrete beams with FRP including the formulation for various failure modes (5 weeks), it them addresses the shear strengthening analysis and design of reinforced concrete beams with FRP (2 weeks), it then covers the strengthening and FRP wrapping of reinforced concrete columns with FRP (3 weeks) and finally it describes the practical methods of the proper installation and inspection of FRP (1 week).
