Catalog description

Focus on business best practices of the creative professions, photography, design, professional practices in museums, auction houses, artist and design studios.  Best practices surveyed include conservation, artists contracts, licensing, taxes, art insurance, copyright law, arts management, public art law, artist estates and independent contractor or freelancer health care, as well as grants and grant writing. Career paths and further study in the arts are also explored. This course serves those who want to work in the arts as well as creative professionals or law students who wish to enter arts law.
