Focuses on the cultural developments and transformations of disability over time. The course addresses different periods throughout the world to understand how past and contemporary societies see disability and bodily configurations. Case studies may be drawn from a mixture of ethnohistory, archaeology, cultural anthropology, and biological anthropology.
