Advanced study of aircraft-level airframe inspection, flight control systems, and rotorcraft fundamentals aligned with FAA Airman Certification Standards for Airframe subject areas AM.II.D and AM.II.N. Emphasizes comprehensive airframe inspection, rigging and adjustment of flight control systems, rotor system design and balance, aircraft jacking and ground handling procedures, and aircraft-level weight and balance application. Students evaluate inspection findings, determine aircraft airworthiness, perform functional checks, and document maintenance actions in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory standards.
